Summary You will serve as a HR ASSISTANT (MIL) in the NAVY TALENT ACQUISITION GROUP (NTAG) of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT SAN FRAN. Responsibilities You will maintain current knowledge and answer questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives. You will recommend procedural changes in daily processes to improve operations and increase efficiencies. You will identify gaps or inconsistencies in the record and initiate actions to obtain needed data. You will complete quality assurance of enlistment, commissioning, superseding, discharge, active-duty orders, service and health records, etc. You will utilize computer hardware and software to support the operations of the office. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Adhering to human resources procedures and regulations to support recruiting and personnel programs; 2) Utilizing office software and computer programs to support and manage databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines; 3) Interpreting human resources laws and policies to resolve discrepancies and provide guidance; and 4) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to prepare and present correspondence, reports, and briefs.
