Site Responsibilities : Performance Plastics - Taunton, MA
-Monitor and improve product quality by analyzing defects, customer complaints, scrap, and rework trends.
-Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
-Manage process control systems using SPC, process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and data analysis to ensure stable operations.
-Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, improving yield, increasing efficiency, and lowering costs.
-Support quality systems and compliance through audits, supplier management, documentation, procedures, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
-Partner with production and engineering teams to solve manufacturing problems, optimize processes, and ensure consistent product performance.
Program Summary:
Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on?action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year.
Upon successful completion of the program, EOM Engineers will be considered for a final placement role within their host business. Placement discussions begin approximately halfway through the program to provide ample time for the participant, host business, and Human Resources team to align on long-term career goals and potential opportunities across Saint-Gobain's network of nearly 160 sites throughout North America. Provided performance expectations are met, participants will receive a designated final placement offer from their host business; however, employees remain free to pursue other opportunities within Saint-Gobain should they choose not to accept that offer.
Job Responsibilities:
The role duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the location. Some examples of specific responsibilities are:
Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
Supporting capital expenditure projects/new equipment installations.
Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
Implementing new automation processes at the site.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Qualifications
B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical etc.)
Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus
Valid passport required for international travel to Canada

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this-position,-which is -$72,500 to $111,500- per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge,-skills, and experience-among other factors.-

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is- 9%- of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this-position,-is -$79,025 to $121,535.- Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and-is-not a guarantee.-

Every three months, spend approximately one week at a different plant in North America with the rest of your EOM Cohort; learning about our businesses, products, and operations and building strong camaraderie.
