Job Title: Screen Print Operator
Job Description
This role operates and maintains wide-format printers, laminators, cutters, and related production equipment to produce high-quality signage, decals, wraps, and labels. The Screen Print Operator manages multiple time-sensitive projects at once, coordinates materials and inventory, and collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of customized graphics.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain wide-format printers, laminators, cutters, and other production equipment to produce high-quality signage, decals, wraps, and labels.
Set up, calibrate, and monitor printing and finishing equipment to ensure consistent color, alignment, and overall print quality.
Manage, prioritize, and execute multiple time-sensitive production projects simultaneously to meet strict customer deployment deadlines.
Review job tickets and project specifications to confirm materials, quantities, layouts, and finishing requirements before production.
Source raw materials such as vinyl, substrates, and related supplies in coordination with approved vendors.
Monitor and manage inventory levels for vinyl, substrates, inks, and other supplies to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
Collaborate with vendors to balance product quality, availability, and cost for materials and supplies.
Partner with internal stakeholders to review project requirements, clarify specifications, and align on production timelines.
Provide timely updates on job status and potential scheduling impacts to internal teams and stakeholders.
Safely package finished graphics, ensuring proper protection, labeling, and organization for shipping or installation.
Assist with installation of customized graphics, wraps, and signage as needed, following safety and quality standards.
Troubleshoot printing, laminating, and cutting issues, including equipment errors, print defects, and material feed problems.
Research and implement more efficient production methods to improve throughput, consistency, and quality.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process bottlenecks and recommending practical solutions.
Contribute to material recycling initiatives by properly handling scrap, offcuts, and recyclable components.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area in accordance with facility procedures and guidelines.
Use graphic design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare, adjust, or finalize artwork files for production.
Utilize computer skills and Microsoft Office applications to track jobs, update schedules, and document production information.
Essential Skills
Proven experience working in a print shop, sign shop, wide-format printing, manufacturing, or fast-paced production environment.
Strong technical and mechanical competency operating production equipment, including wide-format printers, laminators, and cutters.
Demonstrated ability to safely manage physical production demands, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials weighing 50-80 pounds.
Proficiency with graphic design tools, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Solid computer skills, including the ability to work with production software and digital files.
Average skill using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a sign shop or wide-format printing environment handling signage, decals, wraps, and labels.
Familiarity with sourcing raw materials such as vinyl, substrates, and related supplies.
Experience managing inventory levels for production materials and consumables.
Knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance.
Interest in continuous improvement and process optimization within a production environment.
Comfort working in a manufacturing setting with time-sensitive production schedules.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
