As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Operations in Baltimore, MD , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.89 / Hour

Sun04:00 AM - 08:30 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures; verify credentials, direct individuals appropriately, and report irregularities to site leadership.

Monitor entry points and screening equipment, maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation, and communicate access concerns through established channels.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned screening areas, the business, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Have X-ray screening experience, preferred.

Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.

Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.

Must be 21 years of age or older

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
