Medical- Verification Specialist

Description

Our client is seeking to add a team of insurance verification coordinators for a long-term project. This project will be to secure, review, and validate medical documentation needed for insurance authorizations and reimbursement.

Hours 8am-5pm

*THIS POSITION IS 100% ONSITE IN CHATTANOOGA TN**

Key Responsibilities

Obtain required medical documentation from physicians, therapists, ATPs, and other referral sources.

Review and validate records to ensure compliance with payer guidelines and documentation requirements.

Follow up on missing or incomplete records to prevent funding delays.

Maintain accurate electronic medical records and support audit readiness.

Resolve funding-related documentation issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in healthcare, medical billing, funding, or related field preferred.

Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, and medical coding principles preferred.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).

High school diploma or equivalent required.
