Overview

Come join our team as a Direct Support Professional for Stride Services where you will make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities! As part of our team, you will provide care to individuals with disabilities.

Stride Services is part of the Institute for Disability Research, Policy and Practice at Utah State University. Stride is committed to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. We provide services to youth and adults with developmental disabilities living in Cache Valley and southern Idaho. Our services focus on inclusion and integration and individualized supports that ensure access to community, independence, and productivity.

Responsibilities

Must be willing to toilet, feed, transfer, transport and otherwise care for people with disabilities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Utah driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as to transport clients as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.

Strong organizational skills.

Attention to detail.

Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects.

This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
