As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badge Verification in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use technology to document observations. Fri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.

Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
