As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Enhanced Part Time Security Clearance in Charlottesville, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site policies.

Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol activities, incidents, access-control events, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.

CPR certification is preferred.

A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
