We are Hiring a Finance Manager - Aviation Investment & Leasing
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support aviation investment, leasing, and portfolio management activities. This individual contributor role will partner closely with executive leadership and finance teams to evaluate aircraft investment opportunities, optimize capital deployment strategies, and enhance portfolio performance. The successful candidate will combine deep aviation industry expertise with advanced financial modeling capabilities, structured finance knowledge, and strong accounting acumen.
Responsibilities
Support lease accounting activities, including operating versus finance lease determinations.
Coordinate monthly close activities and ensure financial reporting accuracy.
Evaluate accounting implications of aircraft acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions.
Partner with accounting and tax teams to support reporting compliance and tax-efficient decision-making.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards.
Analyze aircraft investment opportunities and assess portfolio performance.
Evaluate asset-level and portfolio-level returns using industry-standard valuation methodologies.
Monitor fleet trends, market demand, residual values, and leasing cycles.
Assess counterparty credit risk and exposure.
Develop recommendations to improve investment performance and capital allocation.
Build, maintain, and audit sophisticated financial models.
Evaluate financing alternatives including senior and subordinated debt, warehouse facilities, asset-backed securitizations, term financing, and equity partnerships.
Support treasury and refinancing initiatives.
Analyze capital structures and recommend strategies to maximize shareholder value and cash flow.
Prepare executive reporting materials and investment committee presentations.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Mentor finance professionals and promote best practices across the organization.
Essential Skills
7+ years of experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, aviation investments, or structured finance.
Strong understanding of aircraft leasing cycles and lease economics.
Knowledge of fleet demand trends, residual values, and secondary market dynamics.
Expert-level Excel proficiency.
Experience building complex models incorporating debt, tax impacts, maintenance reserves, and lease structures.
Ability to perform IRR, NPV, MOIC, cash yield, and return analyses.
Experience evaluating debt structures including senior debt, subordinated debt, warehouse facilities, ABS transactions, and equity partnerships.
Strong understanding of capital deployment and capital structure optimization.
Working knowledge of ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16.
Experience supporting lease classification, revenue recognition, depreciation, impairment, and transaction accounting.
Experience assessing portfolio performance and investment returns.
Credit risk analysis and counterparty evaluation.
Forecasting and strategic decision support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MBA preferred.
Experience within aircraft leasing organizations, aviation asset managers, investment firms, airlines, MRO organizations, or aviation finance groups.
Knowledge of aircraft valuation methodologies and secondary market trends.
Strong business partnering and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience presenting investment recommendations to executive leadership.
Understanding of global leasing and financing structures.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, within a corporate office setting. The role offers the chance to play a highly visible role within a growing aviation investment and leasing platform, providing direct exposure to executive leadership while influencing investment decisions, capital deployment strategies, and portfolio performance across a global aviation asset portfolio.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
