Job Title: Warehouse Technician - Supply Store Job Description
This role supports a busy HVAC and heating supply warehouse by safely operating a stand-up forklift and other material handling equipment to move, stock, and pick inventory. You will handle inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure products are stored and retrieved efficiently from warehouse racks, including using rolling ladders for items stored above six feet. The position requires attention to safety, accuracy, and cleanliness, as well as flexibility to support overtime and weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate a stand-up forklift and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks for inbound and outbound shipments.
Use rolling ladders to stock and pull products from warehouse racks, including locations above six feet, while following all safety procedures.
Log inbound freight from carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL, ensuring accurate documentation of received materials.
Receive material into inventory and move material between designated locations while maintaining accurate part numbers, quantities, and related data in electronic records.
Pick and locate material from warehouse locations as required for orders and transfers, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
Stock and arrange products in the warehouse to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to frequently used items.
Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and identify any discrepancies in inventory.
Resolve discrepancies related to material quantities, part numbers, or locations by investigating and correcting records or physical inventory as needed.
Ensure pallets are stable and safely stacked, observing pallet heights and verifying that material, racking, and equipment are not damaged and that aisles remain clear.
Inspect assigned material handling equipment before use to confirm it is in safe operating condition and report any issues promptly.
Report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Practice safe material handling techniques at all times, following warehouse safety policies and procedures.
Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Provide general labor support in the warehouse as needed, including manual handling of materials and assisting team members.
Work overtime and weekends when required to support business needs and meet operational deadlines.
Essential Skills
Experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Hands-on warehouse experience performing general labor, stocking, picking, and material handling tasks.
Ability to use rolling ladders and work safely when accessing products stored above six feet.
Strong attention to detail for logging inbound freight and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Ability to accurately verify part numbers, quantities, and other data in inventory systems.
Understanding of safe material handling practices and commitment to following safety procedures.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking materials throughout the shift.
Willingness and availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a warehouse worker in a supply or distribution environment.
Comfort working with shipping carriers and logging inbound freight.
Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies related to quantities and part numbers.
Strong organizational skills to support efficient stocking, picking, and warehouse layout.
Reliability and flexibility to support a three-month assignment with the potential to extend and become permanent.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
