Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for a variety of industrial, infrastructure, utility, and facility projects. This individual serves as the Lead Electrical Engineer on projects with electrical design fees up to approximately $500,000 and is accountable for technical quality, project execution, client satisfaction, and team coordination.
The successful candidate will lead small electrical design teams, provide mentorship to junior staff, manage scope, schedule, and budget performance, and collaborate with clients, utilities, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project delivery while contributing to the continued growth of the electrical practice.

Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects.
Lead and mentor a team of 1-3 electrical engineers and designers.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.
Provide regular project status updates to team leadership.
Coordinate with clients, electric utilities, contractors, construction managers, vendors, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies.
Lead the development of technical reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
Conduct and support site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase services.
Coordinate electrical designs with instrumentation and controls, civil, process mechanical, HVAC, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
Support proposal development and cultivate strong client relationships.
Collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed team members using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
Promote quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across project deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Ability and willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses as needed.
Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing technical teams.
Strong client-facing consulting, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/editing software.
Experience with AGi32, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent software preferred.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,600- $176,400 annually for this position and local market.
