What You'll Do
Design electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
Develop and coordinate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and other design disciplines
Perform electrical calculations, lighting studies, and power system analysis
Apply applicable building codes and industry standards to ensure safe, compliant designs
Support project deliverables including drawings, specifications, models, and technical documentation
Participate in project coordination meetings and help resolve design challenges
Contribute to a collaborative team focused on innovation, quality, and technical excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
1-5 years of experience in building systems design, electrical engineering, or MEP consulting
Recent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
Understanding of electrical power distribution and lighting systems
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
EIT certification or actively pursuing licensure
Experience with AGi32 lighting calculations
Experience using SKM for power system analysis
Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
LEED AP, WELL AP, RCDD, or other industry certifications

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
