Summary This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Aircraft Section Chief exercising technical and administrative supervision Through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing aircraft and associated inspections, components, systems, and ground support equipment are maintained in compliance with technical directives and in a timely manner to ensure the accomplishment of flying schedules, maintenance plans and make certain personnel are trained and ready to meet any exercise or contingency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-8500 Aircraft Propeller Overhaul Family QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8500 Aircraft Propeller Overhaul Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications. 3. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. 4. Ability to implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6. Knowledge and practical application of MIS (e.g. CAMS. G0-81) programs. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D: 1.
