Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Job Description
This role leads day-to-day warehouse operations by delegating tasks to associates, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and supporting inventory control. The Warehouse Lead works closely with the supervisor to ensure orders ship accurately and on time, while maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receive daily direction from the supervisor and translate it into clear, actionable tasks for warehouse associates.
Delegate work assignments to warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory-related tasks.
Oversee shipping operations using UPS, FedEx, and related shipping platforms to ensure accurate and timely outbound shipments.
Coordinate receiving activities, including unloading, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments.
Use an ERP system and related tools to process orders, track inventory, and update shipment information.
Support inventory control by helping maintain accurate stock levels, performing counts, and identifying discrepancies.
Monitor workflow and adjust task assignments to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to warehouse associates, promoting strong communication and teamwork.
Assist in troubleshooting shipping and receiving issues and escalate concerns to the supervisor as needed.
Handle packages and materials safely, including lifting items up to 30 lbs as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse area in accordance with company standards.
Collaborate with other departments as needed to support smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment, including delegating tasks to associates.
Hands-on experience with an ERP system for order processing, inventory tracking, or shipping activities.
Practical experience with UPS and FedEx shipping processes, including the use of systems such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx shipping tools.
Experience in warehouse shipping, distribution, and receiving operations.
Experience with inventory control in a warehouse setting.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
Strong supervisory and leadership communication skills, with the ability to clearly direct and support team members.
Proficiency using computers to perform daily tasks and interact with warehouse systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on completing tasks accurately and on time.
Self-motivated approach, with the ability to stay productive with minimal oversight.
Work Environment
This role operates in a warehouse environment, working around shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed to support business demands. The position involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs. You will use computers, ERP systems, and shipping platforms such as UPS and FedEx tools as part of daily operations. The setting offers a collaborative, fast-paced atmosphere where clear communication and teamwork are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellingham, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
