Job Description
Join a growing prefabrication manufacturing team as an Assembler, where you will use your hands-on skills to build high-quality products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, carpentry, electrical work, or other skilled trades who enjoy working with tools, reading measurements, and following blueprints. Training is available for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, good dexterity, and a solid work ethic.
Responsibilities
Assemble prefabricated components and products according to blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical and structural assemblies.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tape measurements to ensure accurate cuts, placements, and alignments.
Measure materials and components using tape measures and other measuring tools to maintain precise specifications.
Assist with general labor tasks in a prefabrication manufacturing environment, including material handling and staging.
Work with concrete, carpentry elements, and other construction-related materials as needed for assembly work.
Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and securing parts to build complete units.
Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards, making adjustments as necessary.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production operations.
Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed to support overall facility growth and production demands.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, carpentry, electrical work, general labor, or other skilled trades.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively in a production or construction environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or diagrams.
Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately.
Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude for detailed assembly work.
Strong work ethic, including reliable attendance and commitment to completing assigned tasks.
Ability to work a minimum of 48 hours per week on an afternoon/evening shift schedule.
Ability to work safely in a non-climate-controlled prefabrication manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in prefabrication, production, or industrial assembly environments.
Preferred construction experience such as carpentry, concrete work, or laborer/helper roles.
Experience with mechanical assembly, including working with mechanical components and fasteners.
Familiarity with using concrete, carpentry tools, and general construction equipment.
Comfort working in a high-volume production setting with consistent overtime.
Willingness to learn new skills and advance into more skilled positions over time.
Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
You will work in a prefabrication manufacturing facility that is not climate-controlled. There is no air conditioning, and heat is provided during colder months, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures throughout the year. Employees typically work a minimum of 48 hours per week on an afternoon and evening schedule, Monday through Friday from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with Fridays often being shorter. The environment is production-focused and hands-on, involving regular use of hand and power tools, tape measures, and construction-related materials such as concrete and carpentry components. Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toed boots, a hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses. You are responsible for providing your own steel-toed boots, while all other required PPE is provided on your first day of orientation. The setting emphasizes safety, teamwork, and consistent productivity in a busy manufacturing atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
