Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Flexible Security Officer for a Retail Store in Somerville MA

Sundays 11 AM - 6 PM (With option for more hours)

Starting Pay is $20.30 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / DailyPay Available

As a Security Officer in Somerville, MA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Sun11:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, stockrooms, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
