The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aSales Account Managerto join the Sales Team, covering the Pacific, Northwest Territory.

The key responsibilities of thisSales Account Managerinclude, but are not limited to:

Work with targeted customers focused on the Aerospace & Defense Markets.

Responsibilities include identification of new account and program opportunities, setting of account objectives, establishment of print position, coordination of selling strategies with Amphenol Product Marketing, Program Managers, Customer Service Representatives & Business Unit Management teams.

Maintain and grow current business and relationships and leverage our position to get other products from other business units sold at the account.

Coordination of selling activity with distribution sales force, quarterly reviews with distribution management and working with the Regional Distribution Sales Manager (RDSM) on targeted opportunities.

12 Month forecast on significant programs and products for all Business Units both direct, through subcontractors & through distribution. The forecast for unique Amphenol callouts should be understood and represented with a high degree of confidence when the customer has a contract or working to secure a contract, this includes LTA & SIMS program items.

Fill out and turn in Demand Creation Power Points forms to the Business Unit & Management teams quarterly

Travel with factory personnel into accounts as needed to support design, manufacturing, quality and new opportunities or help facilitate appointments for Business Unit representative; communicate about the call and what the next actions are and who owns them.

When traveling into an account, have a clear objective of why you are visiting the account with the factory representatives and what the desired outcome is. Plan appropriately and always have the "finish line in sight".

Travel to Amphenol factories when appropriate to engage the team on new designs & critical deliveries. Sell the factories on why the Program is vital to our success.

Responsible with inside team to have the ability to view the Electronic Purchasing & Report Card system your customer may be using.

On a monthly basis, work with the Quality Teams & Inside Sales Teams at the customer and Amphenol BU on maintaining an acceptable level of performance on quality/delivery & affordability.

Maintain a program breakout with complete Bill of Material by Amphenol Product / Business Unit & quantity per system and sales dollars potential.

Location:Remote from home office in WA

Salary:$80,000 - $150,000

The Person

The key skills and qualities of aSales Account Managerat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of the Accounts identified by Amphenol management, as well as a comprehensive understanding of what the customer's end products are and an understanding of the customers' interconnect needs.

Strong account relationships with engineering, purchasing, subcontracts & key decision makers would also be desirable.

Minimum experience would be a bachelor's degree in engineering or business with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an interconnect related field.

Excellent Interpersonal skills and adept at both oral & written communications

Proficiency working with Microsoft Office software - Power Point / Excel / Word

Confidentiality

Be a team player

Be able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment supporting multiple Business Units and Product lines

Ability to multitask and complete assignments by assigned deadlines

Travel extensively within designated geography 70 to 80% of the time
