Job Title: Assembler Job Description
This role involves supporting the production of molded trash cans by assisting with wheel assembly and handling products as they come out of molds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You work on the production line for a full shift, performing repetitive physical tasks and using basic tools and equipment to ensure products are assembled and stacked correctly.
Responsibilities
Assist assemblers with attaching wheels to trash cans accurately and efficiently.
Support pullers by pulling, stacking, and organizing trash cans as they come out of the molds.
Operate or assist with operating production machinery and molding equipment as directed.
Use hand tools and basic mechanical skills to perform assembly and general production tasks.
Load molds with materials and remove finished products, ensuring proper handling and placement.
Perform repetitive physical labor throughout the shift while maintaining focus on quality and safety.
Record basic production data and details as required for tracking and quality purposes.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a hot, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dirty and rougher manufacturing setting.
Meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to quality standards.
Lift, push, pull, and maneuver materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and squat frequently during an 8+ hour shift.
Assist with packing, packaging, and picking finished products as needed.
Essential Skills
Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8+ hour shift.
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and maneuver materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Comfort working in a hot, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Comfort performing repetitive physical labor throughout the day.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and squat frequently while loading molds and removing finished products.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Reliability and consistent attendance to support production schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing or general production environment.
Experience working on a production line.
Familiarity with mechanical assembly and basic mechanical concepts.
Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
Basic troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing operations setting.
Experience with molding processes or operating molding machinery.
Comfort with data entry and recording production details.
Experience with packing, packaging, picking, and general warehouse tasks.
Willingness to learn machine operating skills and expand technical knowledge.

Work Environment
The role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing facility that produces molded trash cans using resin that is melted down and formed in molds. The environment is very hot, non-climate-controlled, dirty, and physically demanding, with a rougher industrial feel typical of heavy manufacturing. You remain on your feet for most of the 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM first shift, performing frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive movements around operating machinery and molding equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claremont, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
