Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Engineer to provide project management support on federal design-build and design-bid-build construction projects in Lakehurst, NJ. The role involves assisting in the management of project documentation, scheduling, procurement, and other vital functions to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
Support the Program Manager, Project Manager, and Site Superintendent in daily project management activities.
Collaborate with Superintendents and Site Managers to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Review plans, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure project alignment.
Manage downstream contract administration, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change management, and claims mitigation.
Assist in project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structures, and field progress tracking.
Prepare and report on project status, risks, schedule, costs, and cash flows to stakeholders.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project schedules, procurement, change orders, and cost management.
Prepare meeting minutes and maintain project documentation.
Support quality control and safety efforts on the project site.
Facilitate project turnover documentation, recordkeeping, warranty, and project closeout processes.
Conduct site visits to document project progress.
Utilize construction management/project control systems effectively.
Build and maintain client relationships while coordinating project-related activities.
Assist in developing and implementing various project plans, including Quality Assurance, Safety, and Procurement Plans.
Contribute to the negotiation, approval, and execution of contracts and change orders.
Essential Skills
Strong background in construction and project management.
Proficiency in construction management systems and project control.
Experience with design-build and design-bid-build construction projects.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering principles.
Ability to manage RFIs, change orders, and project coordination effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in commercial construction and site development.
Familiarity with civil engineering and civil construction practices.
Capability to track project progress and coordinate subcontractor activities.
Strong communication and client interface skills.
Work Environment
The position is based on-site at Fort Dix, providing a dynamic environment where you will engage with various stakeholders to ensure project success. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards while managing multiple facets of construction project execution.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lakehurst, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
