Mental Health & Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS) is looking for a Clinical Scheduler to support the Nursing Department. MHSATS provides services to inpatient hospitals and other residential settings which includes eight psychiatric hospitals, three chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment facilities, and three residential treatment facilities. This Clinical Scheduler will act as the administrator for the scheduling system and support the administrative team the manages employee scheduling for greater Minnesota, which includes troubleshooting, implementing system improvements and manages system security.
Responsibilities include:
Providing overall system administrator functions in Atlas including maintain system availability and scheduling functionality, complete system updates, resolve administrator level issues, maintain permissions, identify and problem-solve reoccurring issues and provide system improvement training to MHSTATS staff.
Assist and support the Staffing Department with specific needs such as troubleshooting, data entry for new employees, staffing requests, and developing and maintaining block schedules that align with approved staffing plans, labor agreements, and budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Communication skills sufficient to work with internal staffing pools and external staffing vendors to broker staff for sites and between sites in order to maintain safe/adequate staffing patterns
Customer service skills sufficient to work with RN supervisors to make recommendations in responding to sick leave, acuity ratings, and emergencies
Database, Documents, and Records Management working in ATLAS other related healthcare scheduling systems to develop and review schedules for compliance with union contracts, FLSA, and procedures
Specialized terminology sufficient to provide nurse schedule coordination of staffing across all Mental Health Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS)
Preferred Qualifications
2 years' scheduling experience working in the Emerald City/Atlas Scheduling Application.
Leadwork skills sufficient with proactive and independent initiation of tasks, and confidence in skills.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills of Microsoft Excel.
