Responsibilities :
Lead and prepare year-end and preliminary audit schedules (PBCs) and footnote disclosures for external auditors as it relates to revenue recognition accounting and reporting.
Perform/supervise the accounting function for Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Cash, and Compliance-related items in support of construction activities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures for financial operations to ensure strong internal controls are in place.
Document accounting processes to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and DCAA reporting timelines and requirements.
Perform technical accounting research as needed in support of revenue recognition accounting standards and serve as subject matter expert to management on the application of new guidance to our construction activities.
Perform as an individual contributor and manage one to two accountants.
Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries in support of construction accounting transactions and consolidation requirements.
Manage the setup and closeout of all construction jobs - 1) review and assign new job numbers; 2) account and report on active jobs; and 3) ensure all completed jobs are properly purged in the system.
Work closely with the Accounting Director to design project plans to meet the demands of the IT/Business initiatives, and process improvement within the Accounting Department.
Lead and/or participate in cross functional project teams in support Master Data, General Ledger and Cash Management/Accounts Receivable initiatives.
Prepare and/or lead documentation of end-user requirements over current procedures in the Accounting Department.
Train end-users and perform testing of new tools to automate data entry/high-volume and low value activities.
Identify and recommend areas for streamlining reporting to internal and external customers for redundant and low-value add activities.
Provide accounting and financial reporting support to senior management for new business line (s).
Support department initiatives, as assigned.
Qualifications :
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years of progressive related work experience; CPA preferred
Familiarity with accounting processes and generally accepted accounting principles and controls.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience leading project based initiatives for cross-functional teams; relationship builder.
Experience with Hyperion and Oracle tools a plus.
Strong service orientation and team player.
High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, strong integrity and collaborative.
Positive attitude, flexible, and high-level of enthusiasm and energy.
Able to grasp new concepts quickly; and strong ability to grasp complex data relationships and information logic.

Exceptional analytic/ problem-solving skills; able to get into the details and fix problems (must be hands-on)
Solid system implementation skills; system upgrades or system conversion experience a must.
Clark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. For this role the base salary range is $70,000 - $150,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
