Job Description

Job Title: Operations Manager

(Ideal candidate will need to haveColumbia Security License

and experience in either: facilities operations, security operations, or hospitality management experience.)

Salary: $78K, plus annual incentive

Are you a leader with 5-7 years of experience infacilities operations management, security operations, hospitality/tourism management, event management, or public spaces administration

? Block by Block is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee one of our Cleaning and Safety Ambassador programs in downtown Columbia. This role requires advanced client relationship management skills to manage daily district program operations and deliver continual program improvements. We're looking for someone with strong managerial skills, a great work ethic, experience supervising a team of approximately 11 employees, and a passion for creating a great experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Hiring and training a positive, skilled, and dependable team.

Adjusting the deployment of resources to match changing needs.

Identifying and solving problems to improve program quality.

Procuring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment.

Reporting outcomes through various channels (spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, Budgets).

Hands-on working management in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training.

Requirements

High School Diploma Required, College or Extended Education preferred

Minimum of 5 years Management Experience

in a similar field.

City of Columbia Security Licensure

required or will need to get within 30 days of hire.

Expert Customer Service Skills -- Our entire mission is to be friendly and engaging. Must lead by example with their friendliness and with a positive attitude.

Expert Judgement -- must be comfortable and competent in order to make decisions based on information available.

Excellent Communication Skills

Expert in level technology and computer skills Must have a strong background with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
