Warehouse Specialist

The successful Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehouse functions in support of the T44/T54 program.

Essential Responsibilities:

As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.

Route materials to prescribed storage locations.

Remove equipment from shipping containers.

Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.

Examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

Must operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Responsible for transporting calibrated items to calibration lab.

Be familiar with excess/unserviceable material disposal and processes.

In put data into computerized system.

Handle/Deliver hazardous material.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school degree or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license.

Twelve months job related experience in government or industrial warehouse operations is required.

Individuals must also pass and maintain a Background Investigation and access to required information systems.

Must have valid state driver's license

Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. This position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.
