A leading professional services organization is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join its growing private client practice. This is a high-visibility opportunity supporting high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, and closely held businesses with complex tax planning and compliance needs.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical tax expertise with the ability to build trusted client relationships, lead teams, and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, and privately held businesses.

Lead complex tax engagements involving individual, entity, fiduciary, gift, and estate taxation.

Provide strategic tax planning related to wealth transfer, succession planning, business structures, investments, and other significant financial events.

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple client engagements while maintaining a high standard of quality and client service.

Work closely with clients and internal specialists to develop comprehensive tax strategies tailored to their financial and family objectives.

Manage and mentor tax professionals, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.

Assist with business development efforts, including proposals, networking, referrals, and cultivating new and existing client relationships.

Develop strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors, including attorneys, investment professionals, and other centers of influence.

Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation and their impact on private clients.

Collaborate across service lines to provide clients with integrated tax and business solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Active CPA license, JD, or Enrolled Agent designation.

8+ years of public accounting experience, with significant experience serving high-net-worth individuals, private clients, family offices, or closely held businesses.

Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, S corporation, and/or fiduciary taxation.

Experience with complex investments and the associated tax implications.

Familiarity with multi-state tax matters.

Demonstrated experience leading client engagements and managing client relationships.

Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

Master's degree in Taxation or LL.M. in Taxation.

Experience with gift and estate tax planning and compliance.

Background advising multi-generational families or family offices.

Demonstrated success in business development and expanding client relationships.

Requirements
