Job Summary
Manages the daily activities of project staff as it relates to the successful execution of assigned projects. Leads a team of project staff on specific projects giving them guidance throughout their projects. Answer technical questions related to the project, perform technical reviews, understand client specific protocols, and provide training to project staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
General familiarity with all Asset Management services, budget development, forecasting, and management.
Performs the duties of the onsite Project Assessor (field), including conducting client facing on-site assessments and preparing written report that accurately describes onsite assessment findings including but not limited to: Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), energy audits, accessibility assessments, mechanical equipment evaluations, space utilization planning and analysis, and other technical services associated with capital planning of commercial, institutional, and/or municipal facilities.
Maintain web-based project management database.
Due to the possession of special skills or experience, may be assigned to perform various @types of services such as, but not limited to facility condition assessments, structural, mechanical, civil, or environmental surveys; pre-construction document reviews; construction monitoring; desk reviews; report reviews; or document review. This position may also be assigned to provide training programs.
Manages project staff assigned to projects on a project-by-project basis, providing direction, support, and technical guidance, reviewing and evaluating their work progress, identifying and resolving problems.
Supports the management team in daily activities as it relates to the successful management of programs, including managing the overall direction, completion, and budget of the project.
Manages the cross reference of resources onsite.
Interfaces with client representative onsite and coordinates the team schedule and responsibilities.
Manage multiple tasks and projects across multiple programs.
Maintains project-by-project communication on programs with the management team and keeps them informed of any actual or potential problems including continuing updates of when reports will be e-mailed/shipped to production.
This is a client facing role; must be able to represent BV at project specific meetings.
Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Plans, schedules, and communicates project timelines.
Familiar with contract administration and change order review.
Performs report reviews when required.
Quality control and assurance.
Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.
Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients' needs.
Demonstrates BV's guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.
Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (approx. 50% - 75% of time) to client/project sites across the U.S. required. On-Site visits can occur up to one continuous week at a time, or typically at least one or two days per week. Overnight stays away from home may be required, along with weekend travel.

Indirectly and directly supervises employees on the team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection.

Education, Certifications, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; minimum of three to five years of related experience. In lieu of degree, five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license required, with a clean driving record and no significant MVA points or violations.
Employees who incur $2,000 or more per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to obtain a Corporate Credit Card. Employees who incur less than $2,000 per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to have sufficient personal credit to cover their business travel costs.
Industry-recognized certifications, active pursuit of certification, or equivalent professional credentialing such as CxA, CCP, BCxP, CEM, NICET, NFPA-related certifications, or active trade licensure relevant to the supported discipline.
Current Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, BPI Building Analyst, HERS II Rater, HERS Building Performance Contractor, Multifamily GreenPoint Rater, Certified Energy Engineering Professional, or ADA certified (such as ADAC, CASp, TX RAS, IBC Certified Inspector Plans Inspector) preferred.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
While performing the onsite/field duties, the employee is required to:
Walk (material part of an 8-hour workday, up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time.)
Stand (material part of an 8-hour workday, up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time.)
Sit, Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to observe basement and grade-level crawl spaces, and/or to read equipment data plates when necessary (at least once for each building assessed)
Climb and balance Stairs (at least once for each building assessed)
Climb and balance various @types of ladders to access flat roofs/hatch access (at least once for each building assessed)
Repetitive use of hands/fingers for keyboard interaction (frequently)
Reach with hands and arms
Talking and hearing (communicate with onsite contact)
Vision (close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus)
Lift and or move (occasionally up to 40 pounds)

Work Environment: The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical components and assemblies, frequently exposed to work near energized electrical components and assemblies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, inclement weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level at the project site is usually moderate. While performing the office/offsite duties of this job:
