Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions and help ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling complex accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting audits and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities

Analyze financial results and investigate variances

Maintain general ledger accuracy and support financial statement preparation

Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions

Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and amortization schedules

Support external audits and provide required documentation

Help ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of accounting experience

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft D365, QuickBooks, or Workday

Familiarity with accounting controls, financial analysis, and reporting tools such as PowerBI or SQL

CPA or CPA track preferred
