Logistics Coordinator/Account Support

Description We are looking for a detail-focused Logistics Coordinator/Account Support specialist to join a chemicals manufacturing organization in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This fully onsite opportunity is a contract position with the potential for a permanent role, designed for someone who enjoys balancing customer communication, order coordination, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help keep customer accounts moving smoothly by managing order activity, responding to inquiries, and maintaining accurate records while working closely with internal teams. This assignment begins as a 6+ month engagement with the potential to continue based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:

Review incoming customer orders for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established business requirements before processing.

Enter order and account-related transactions into customer and internal systems with a high degree of precision and timeliness.

Monitor a shared team inbox, respond to service requests, and route inquiries to the appropriate internal contacts when needed.

Support customers with questions related to orders, billing, pricing updates, returns, shipping status, and purchase order details.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to confirm product availability, shipment timing, and issue resolution to maintain service expectations.

Process returns, update pricing information, and correct discrepancies to help ensure smooth order fulfillment and account maintenance.

Maintain organized documentation, complete data entry tasks, and provide general administrative assistance across the team.

Contribute to transportation and ground shipping coordination by helping track logistics activity and communicating relevant updates to customers and internal partners. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in customer service, account support, order entry, logistics coordination, or administrative operations.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework or related training is a plus.

Demonstrated accuracy in data entry, transaction processing, and mistake-proofing within fast-moving workflows.

Working knowledge of order management, billing support, purchase orders, returns processing, and pricing updates.

Experience using CRM platforms or similar customer/account management systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond professionally to customer needs.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also collaborating effectively with a broader team.
