Responsibilities
Answer and route a high volume of incoming calls while providing friendly, professional, and customer-focused service.
Greet visitors at the front desk, assist them with their needs, and ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
Take and process payments over the phone and in person at the counter, issue receipts, and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions.
Maintain accurate customer records and support office organization through both paper and electronic filing and document management.
Assist customers with general questions, identify their needs, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members or departments.
Support day-to-day front office operations including scanning, copying, data entry, and general administrative and clerical tasks.
Use email, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and other standard office systems to manage information, appointments, and communications.
Perform strong and accurate data entry, including use of 10-key and other input methods, to maintain up-to-date records.
Monitor and manage inbound calls to ensure timely responses and professional phone etiquette.
Contribute to a well-organized front office environment by keeping work areas tidy and ensuring documents are properly stored.
Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality, as performance is measured in part by attendance and phone etiquette.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of receptionist or front office experience in a customer-facing role.
Prior cashiering or payment processing experience handling phone and/or in-person transactions.
Strong customer service skills, including professional communication, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Solid computer skills and comfort using standard office systems such as email, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and basic data entry applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong data entry skills, including accurate 10-key and keyboard use.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience answering phones and handling inbound calls in a professional manner.
Demonstrated administrative support and clerical skills, including filing and general office administration.
Customer service oriented mindset with a focus on providing helpful and courteous support to all visitors and callers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual abilities, particularly English and Spanish, are preferred but not required.
Experience working in a customer service environment with high call volume.
Background in front desk or receptionist customer service roles.
General administrative assistance and administration experience in an office setting.
Comfort using computer systems for scanning, copying, and managing electronic documents.
Work Environment
This role is based in a front office environment with standard weekday hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime as needed. You will work primarily at a reception desk, handling inbound calls, greeting visitors, and performing computer-based tasks such as data entry, email correspondence, and document management using Microsoft Office and other standard office systems. Performance is evaluated on factors such as attendance and phone etiquette. The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused, requiring professional demeanor, clear communication, and consistent reliability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakdale, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
