HR Coordinator

Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: Orangeburg, NY

Type: Contract

Hours: Mon-Fri; 8am-4:30pm (5 days onsite)

Responsibilities

Assist with recruiting, scheduling interviews, reference checks, etc.

Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative and coordination activities.

Maintain and organize employee files, records, documents, and other HR-related information.

Assist with filing, document management, and keeping HR records accurate and up to date.

Prepare and organize presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other HR materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Draft and send professional emails to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.

Communicate with colleagues and employees to gather information, answer basic questions, and provide assistance as needed.

Attend meetings and take accurate and detailed notes, documenting key information, action items, and follow-ups.

Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating HR activities, and tracking important deadlines.

Help prepare onboarding and employee-related documentation.

Enter, update, and maintain information in HR systems and spreadsheets.

Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.

Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Requirements

BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field

1-2 years of HR, administrative, or related industry experience, or relevant internship/co-op experience

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to write and send professional emails

Ability to take thorough and accurate notes during meetings

Experience with filing, document organization, and maintaining records

Comfortable communicating with colleagues and working as part of a team

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience in an HR department, corporate environment, or professional office setting (nice to have)

Familiarity with HR systems or HR databases (nice to have)

Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, or other HR processes (nice to have)
