Job Duties Closing Team Member - Key Responsibilities

As a Closing Team Member, you will help finish the day strong by providing excellent customer service while preparing the store for the next business day.

Your key responsibilities include:

Greet customers and provide fast, friendly, and professional service.

Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.

Assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and make product suggestions.

Support food service and beverage areas as needed.

Complete closing tasks to ensure the store is clean, stocked, organized, and ready for the next shift.

Restock merchandise, coolers, food service areas, and other high-demand products.

Clean and maintain the checkout area, sales floor, food and beverage areas, restrooms, and exterior areas.

Empty trash, organize work areas, and help maintain a safe and welcoming store environment.

Follow cash-handling, food-safety, security, and store procedures.

Communicate important information to the next shift and management team.

Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, stocking, organizing, and completing closing priorities.

Identify problems quickly and take initiative to resolve them or notify management.

Work independently and as part of the team to make sure all closing responsibilities are completed before the end of the shift.

There is rarely a dull moment. You will work throughout the store, both inside and outside, helping maintain high standards for store appearance while providing fast and friendly service to every customer.

Closing Team Members play an important role in making sure the store is left in excellent condition for the next day.

Because the Closing Team Member helps prepare the store for the following day, dependability, attention to detail, follow-through, and completing all assigned closing tasks are especially important in this position.

Minimum Education Required High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience Required Retail experience
