Job Title: Construction Laborer (Spotter) Job Description
This role focuses on overseeing safe operations on a commercial construction site by spotting for equipment, coordinating material movement, and supporting site logistics. You will guide workers operating lifts and other machinery, help manage drivers and deliveries, and assist with site cleanup and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work area.
Responsibilities
Oversee and spot for workers operating lifts and other construction machinery to ensure safe operation at all times.
Guide equipment operators when loading, moving, and placing materials to prevent accidents and damage.
Monitor work areas to ensure individuals working on machines follow established safety standards and site rules.
Support site logistics by coordinating the movement of materials, equipment, and vehicles around the job site.
Assist with driver management, including directing trucks and deliveries to appropriate locations and ensuring safe entry and exit from the site.
Perform site cleanup tasks such as removing debris, organizing materials, and keeping walkways and work zones clear.
Help maintain an orderly, efficient construction site by following instructions from supervisors and communicating clearly with crew members.
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate site personnel.
Essential Skills
Experience with spotting on construction sites, including guiding lifts and other machinery.
Ability to perform site cleanup tasks and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Experience supporting site logistics, including material movement and coordination.
Familiarity with driver management on construction sites, including directing trucks and deliveries.
Basic understanding of construction practices and mechanical operations.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.
Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Clear communication skills to provide guidance to equipment operators and other crew members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience working on commercial construction sites.
Experience with machine operation or working closely around heavy equipment.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around construction machinery.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a construction crew.

Work Environment
This role is based on a commercial construction site in an outdoor setting. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
