Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer
This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on CNC programming, machining process optimization, and continuous improvement within a growing manufacturing environment. The position requires strong expertise in milling and mill-turn operations, ownership of root cause analysis for part issues, and close collaboration with setup personnel and other team members to ensure high-quality, efficient production.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling and mill-turn machines to ensure efficient, accurate, and repeatable production.
Work directly with setup personnel to ensure programs, tooling, and fixtures are correctly implemented and machines are properly configured.
Own the root cause analysis for part-related issues, identify defects or nonconformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support quoting activities by reviewing prints, processes, and machining requirements to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
Select, specify, and improve tooling solutions for mills and lathes to enhance tool life, cycle times, and part quality.
Troubleshoot mills and lathes to resolve machining problems, improve machine performance, and reduce downtime.
Drive manufacturing process improvements using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation to support consistent, high-quality production.
Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
Use CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor, as applicable, to support fixture design and manufacturing process development.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a machining or CNC environment.
Hands-on experience with CNC programming, including milling and mill-turn operations.
Ability to work with mills and lathes and troubleshoot machining issues on these machines.
Proficiency with Mastercam for CNC programming.
Strong experience in tooling selection, setup, and optimization for machining operations.
Experience with quoting machining work, including evaluating processes and estimating time and cost.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement, including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Familiarity with process engineering and manufacturing process development.
Experience using AutoCAD for manufacturing or process-related design work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with fixture design to support efficient and stable machining processes.
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD tools.
Experience in a growing manufacturing organization and comfort working in a dynamic environment.
Ability to communicate effectively across teams, including production, quality, and engineering.
Bilingual communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
