Description:

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Medical Secretary to join our Hematology Oncology team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and providers, ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the daily administrative operations of a busy specialty practice.

What You'll Do

Welcomepatientsandmanagethecheck-in/check-outprocess.

Answerandtriageincomingcalls,providingexceptionalcustomerservice.

Schedulepatientappointments,procedures,anddiagnosticexams.

Prepare,maintain,andupdatepatientmedicalrecords.

Obtainpriorauthorizationsandpre-certificationsforproceduresandexams.

Scanandorganizemedicaldocumentationwithintheelectronicmedicalrecord.

Collaboratewithproviders,clinicalstaff,andofficeteammemberstosupportefficientpatientcare.

Maintainproficiencywithofficetechnologyandelectronichealthrecordsystems.

Supportclinicalstaffwithclericaltaskswhilecontributingtoapositive,patient-centeredenvironment.

Qualifications

Associatedegreepreferred.

1-2yearsofhealthcareormedicalofficeexperiencerequired.

PreviousMedicalSecretaryorequivalentadministrativeexperiencerequired.

Epicexperiencepreferred.

Strongcomputeranddataentryskills.

Excellentverbal,written,andinterpersonalcommunicationskills.

Knowledgeofmedicalterminology.

Strongorganizationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment.

Abilitytoworkcollaborativelyaspartofamultidisciplinaryhealthcareteam.

Abilitytoeffectivelymanagemultiplephonelines.
