A highly respected and well-established commercial real estate organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team in the greater Baltimore area.

Key Responsibilities

Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Maintain general ledger accuracy and balance sheet integrity

Analyze financial results and prepare variance analyses

Review lease documentation to ensure accurate accounting treatment and tenant billings

Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Prepare financial schedules and reporting packages

Participate in acquisition, disposition, financing, and due diligence activities as needed

Assist with internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit support

Partner with operations and other departments on accounting-related initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline

1-4 years of accounting experience

Public accounting experience strongly preferred

CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with commercial real estate, property accounting, REITs, Yardi, or Voyager is a plus

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
