Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to provide dependable support across daily HR operations in California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administrative work with employee-facing coordination in a fast-moving environment. The role will assist with inquiries, onboarding activities, communications, and process organization while helping the HR team stay efficient and responsive.
Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming HR communications, respond to routine questions, and direct specialized matters to the appropriate team members such as payroll, onboarding, or credentialing.
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to HR leadership by preparing documents, organizing records, and supporting ongoing departmental initiatives.
Help coordinate benefits-related activities, including open enrollment support and distribution of employee communications.
Enter and maintain accurate personnel data, generate basic reports, and complete filing and other clerical tasks with strong attention to detail.
Arrange interviews and support onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth and timely onboarding experience.
Maintain organized workflows and recommend practical improvements that enhance efficiency within HR processes.
Use Google Workspace tools to prepare correspondence, track information, and support collaboration across the department. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in HR support, onboarding coordination, or administrative operations.
Ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service approach when assisting employees and candidates.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy setting.
Self-directed work style with the initiative to learn new procedures quickly and solve routine issues independently.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
Familiarity with HR administration activities such as onboarding, employee relations support, background checks, or HRIS updates is preferred. TalentMatch®
