Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in packaging, labeling, and shipping materials, receiving and verifying incoming parts against purchase orders, and supporting inventory control activities. This position handles returns, prepares shipping documentation, performs cycle counts, and uses inventory and ERP systems to ensure accurate data entry and efficient material flow. The role also involves racking and un-racking parts, inspecting products for damage, and coordinating pickups to support a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Package, label, and prepare materials for shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.
Receive incoming parts and materials, verifying quantities and descriptions against purchase orders and shipping documents.
Process returns accurately, including documenting returned items and updating inventory records.
Inspect products and parts for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Perform inventory control tasks, including maintaining accurate stock levels and organizing materials in designated locations.
Conduct regular cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify variances.
Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers to ensure on-time outbound shipments.
Rack and un-rack parts and components safely to support surface finishing and production operations.
Create and apply shipping labels and prepare bills of lading and other required shipping documentation.
Enter data accurately into inventory systems and ERP systems, maintaining up-to-date records of receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to track inventory movement and support order fulfillment.
Handle pallets and materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when required and authorized.
Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant teams.
Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements, including ITAR and hazardous material handling guidelines.
Support overall warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency to maintain a safe and productive work area.
Essential Skills
Experience with inventory control and inventory management in a warehouse or production environment.
Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipping labels and bills of lading.
Ability to work with purchase orders, verify incoming goods, and reconcile shipments against documentation.
Proficiency with data entry and the use of inventory systems and ERP systems to maintain accurate records.
Experience performing cycle counts and supporting ongoing inventory accuracy initiatives.
Ability to operate RF scanners and other standard warehouse tools and equipment.
Familiarity with racking and un-racking parts and handling pallets in a production or warehouse setting.
Understanding of UPS or similar parcel shipping processes and requirements.
Capability to work a Friday-Monday weekend shift from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial setting.
Previous use of RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.
Familiarity with bills of lading and other shipping documentation for freight and parcel shipments.
Forklift experience and ability to safely handle pallets and materials, where permitted and trained.
Exposure to inventory management practices supporting production and finishing operations.
Comfort working around industrial equipment and in a regulated environment that may involve hazardous materials.
Attention to detail when inspecting products for damage and verifying documentation.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate, timely records in a high-activity warehouse.

Work Environment
You work in a full-service surface finishing operation that supports commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite industries. The facility provides start-to-finish solutions, including non-destructive testing, chemical processing, painting, and sub-assembly across multiple sites in the United States. Your day-to-day environment is a production and warehouse setting where you handle parts, rack and un-rack components, and support finishing operations. You work around industrial equipment, pallets, and material handling tools, using inventory and ERP systems, RF scanners, and other warehouse technologies. Safety procedures and regulatory compliance, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to ITAR requirements, are integral to daily operations. The position follows a Friday-Monday weekend shift from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., requiring comfort with extended shifts in an active, hands-on warehouse and production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
