This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Responsibilities

Location: Wichita, KS (On-site)

Position Responsibilities:

Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans bycoordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, andfunctional test plans.

Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics working structions, manufacturing data sets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material.

Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts.

Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & post-production problems.

Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan.

Abilityto apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of related experience or 4+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree

Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)

Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active DoD Security Clearance

Technical Degree

Clarification and enhancement of existing build plans to promote standardization and ease of understanding

Frequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customers

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models

Creation and publication of manufacturing graphics

Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel

Strong knowledge of SAP

CATIA / ENOVIA

3DX

Understanding of the master scheduling requirements

Ability to take a project from start to finish

Willingness to work cross-functionally

Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $71,650- $109,800

Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years. Click here for more information on the tax credit.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
