The Quality Inspector performs detailed inspections on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. This role verifies completed builds across multiple bays, compares final products to blueprints, conducts measurements with a tape measure, and documents findings. The position also involves reporting nonconformances, supporting lab testing when needed, and helping maintain a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough quality checks on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
Sign off on completed builds and manage inspection workload across multiple production bays.
Read and interpret blueprints to compare finished products against design specifications.
Use a tape measure to take accurate measurements and verify product dimensions.
Identify, document, and report any issues or nonconformances to management in a timely manner.
Complete inspection reports and perform additional testing in the lab when needed.
Assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Support ongoing quality initiatives by following established procedures and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and reviewing specifications.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple bays.
Capability to recognize and document quality issues and nonconformances.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with active production processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with concrete and/or precast concrete is a plus but not required.
Previous quality inspection experience is a plus but not required.
Experience with concrete testing or precast concrete manufacturing is beneficial.
Familiarity with American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards is advantageous.
American Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications in Field Testing Level One or Two are ideal.
Any American Concrete Institute certification is considered a significant plus.

Work Environment
This role is based in a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility operating on a 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shift, Monday through Friday, with some weekly overtime expected, typically not exceeding 50 hours. The environment is not climate-controlled and can be dusty and dirty due to ongoing concrete pouring as trucks enter the bays, particularly until new machinery is installed. Approximately 50 employees currently work on the production floor, with plans to grow to around 80 employees over the next three months. Safety is a high priority, and employees work in an environment that strongly emphasizes safe practices and adherence to safety guidelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Employees are eligible for a full benefits package after 90 days (vision/medical/dental)
