The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa is seeking an energetic, driven, and strategic Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our commercial efforts during one of the most exciting transformations in the history of the property.

The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa is undergoing a $50 million transformation and complete repositioning, creating a fresh, elevated experience designed to establish the property as one of the premier destinations in the market.

As Director of Sales and Marketing , you will have the opportunity to help shape that future-building demand, growing revenue, developing new relationships, strengthening the hotel's market position, and creating a high-performing sales culture.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a hospitality sales leader who is passionate about selling experiences, building relationships, driving revenue, and developing people.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proven sales and marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants the freedom and resources to make a meaningful impact.

You will have the opportunity to:

Lead and grow a dynamic sales and catering operation Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies Drive group, corporate, catering, wedding, social, and special-event business Build relationships with key corporate, association, social, and community accounts Position the hotel as a premier destination for weddings, galas, corporate events, meetings, and celebrations Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales and catering team Create innovative sales strategies that differentiate the property in a competitive market Partner closely with hotel leadership and operations to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction Help establish the hotel's new identity and market positioning as the transformation unfolds Write your own path and leave your mark on a property entering an exciting new chapter

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a true hospitality sales rockstar who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven leadership experience in hotel sales and marketing Strong knowledge of group, catering, corporate, and social sales A successful track record of generating revenue and developing new business Experience leading and developing sales professionals Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities A creative approach to sales and marketing A passion for weddings, galas, meetings, events, and hospitality The entrepreneurial mindset to see an opportunity and turn it into results The energy, confidence, and drive to lead during a major hotel transformation Exceptional sales leader to make a lasting impact.
