Based at the Poestenkill, NY manufacturing facility, the Manufacturing Engineer supports operations within the Life Sciences Business Unit.
Provides process, manufacturing, and engineering support to production operations while contributing to process development, scale-up activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Applies World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve process efficiency, reduce EHS risks, minimize scrap and waste, resolve process-related challenges, and support the justification and implementation of capital expenditures.
Serves as a technical resource, providing equipment troubleshooting and engineering expertise to the Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams as needed.
Lead site efforts to optimize manufacturing and application processes by identifying losses, implementing process improvements, and establishing controls to sustain gains and drive continuous improvement.
Lead Manufacturing WCM efforts for the site, including supporting the organization's World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program, training employees to expand WCM capabilities and project leadership, managing WCM-related changes and updates from the business group, and leading WCM improvement projects. Champion continuous improvement initiatives by leading departmental 5S teams, Kaizen activities, and other improvement programs that drive operational excellence.
Support manufacturing and maintenance operations by troubleshooting equipment and processes, ensuring machines operate safely, reliably, and at optimal performance levels.
Partner with the Quality Department to investigate defects, deviations, and process issues through root cause analysis using methodologies such as WCM, Five Why Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and other structured problem-solving tools.
Support R&D and Applications Engineering initiatives involving new product and process development, product commercialization, process development, trials, experiments, material troubleshooting, customer application support, and scale-up projects as products transition from development to full production.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
2+ years of Manufacturing, Process, Industrial, and/or Automation Engineering experience (Preferred)
Experience supporting manufacturing operations
Strong process and manufacturing engineering skills, including troubleshooting and process improvement
Proven ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Strong project management and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer proficiency
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $89,600.00 to $139,100.00.
