Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Description
The Senior Accountant will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting activities for multiple individuals, trusts, and legal entities. This role manages daily transaction processing, reconciliations, wire transfers, and capital call activities, while supporting payroll and tax reporting. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work accurately in a fast-paced, in-office environment and manage multiple priorities across various entities.
Responsibilities
Perform daily bookkeeping activities for multiple individuals, trusts, and legal entities, including accurate transaction entries and reconciliations.
Initiate and process domestic and international wire transfers, ensuring proper documentation and confirmation of wire instructions.
Assist with capital call and distribution processing for private equity fund investments, including calculating each member's pro-rata contribution, identifying appropriate funding sources, and initiating wire transfers for review and approval by the CFO.
Track real estate expenditures and capital improvements, maintaining clear and accurate records for each property or project.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment activity on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Track and maintain accurate classifications of credit card expenses to support financial reporting and analysis.
Generate detailed reports for the tax department to support tax return preparation and compliance.
Support the Payroll Manager as needed with household payroll processing and related accounting activities.
Track and process payments related to real estate operations, private investments, household expenses, charitable donations, and gifts.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files in accordance with internal policies and documentation standards.
Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks and special projects as requested.
Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly regarding accounting matters and deadlines.
Essential Skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
8+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and general ledger fundamentals.
Experience processing wires and payments, including confirmation and verification of wire instructions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, in-office environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple entities simultaneously.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exposure to household payroll processes preferred.
Experience with capital calls and distributions for private equity or similar investments.
Experience initiating and processing domestic and international wire transfers.
Background working with individuals, trusts, and multiple legal entities.
Comfort supporting tax reporting and collaborating with a tax department.
Work Environment
The role is based in an in-office, fast-paced environment within a company of approximately 30+ employees, with about 10-12 staff working out of the West Palm Beach area. The position involves regular collaboration with colleagues, adherence to internal accounting policies, and the use of tools such as Microsoft Excel to manage and report financial data. The work setting emphasizes accuracy, discretion, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple entities and priorities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
