GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) supports the entire PLEXSYS supply chain and will report directly to the Contracts Administration Manager. The SCM has oversight of all supply chain and logistics operations in relation to projects/contracts in assigned area of responsibility. The SCM shall ensure overall project/contract goals and deliverables related to direct purchasing of supplies are accomplished on-time and within budget to maximize efficiency and minimize costs of the PLEXSYS supply chain. The SCM is required to collaborate with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute development of supply chain distribution center operational processes, maintenance and readiness of spares and other inventory, and enable seamless inventory and spares transfers.? The SCM will manage and monitor the approved supplier list to ensure all vendor qualifications and vendor performance meets PLEXSYS compliance requirements. The SCM will actively seek out information to perform Supply Chain duties and functions relevant to all direct and indirect projects to ensure goals are met and customer support is maintained.
The SCM is responsible for managing contract supply and logistics execution which may include assisting in coordination and negotiations with the Contracting Offices, Program Offices, or Logistics Leads. The SCM will provide oversight of daily supply chain and logistics operations. The SCM may perfrom other duties as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing complex supply chain and logistics requirements
Manages scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable in relations to GFP, PLEXSYS inventory, and DMSMS spares programs
Manages daily Secure Storage Facility operations activities
Liaise w/ Project/Program leads for procurement and maintenance of required supply items to support project goals
Develops different risk management strategies for projects and program supply chains
Assists Operations in planning and setting logistics goals and milestones related to programs
May perform team or individual assessments and evaluations
May supervise subordinate supply chain/inventory specialists in the conduct of daily activities
Develops procedures to support proper conduct of logistics and supply chain activities
Manages/assigns GFP, spares, inventory and other resources to ensure projects/programs are successful
Ensures GFP is compliant with all Financial Inventory Audit Readiness ( FIAR) requirements
Recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementing
Ensures all program and project supply timelines/processes comply with company standards and procedures
Provides pricing support and quotes for Proposals and provides oversight for creation of requisitions during execution of various projects
Exercises full authority on behalf of PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc., for all matters related to daily execution of the supply chain program
Defines and establishes relations with external shipping/receiving companies and customers/clients regarding supply chain contract requirements in conjunction with security and export control leadership
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of GFP, Inventory, Spares, Supplies, and the overall logistics/supply chain in accordance with company direction
Establishes and maintains positive working relationship with executive level logistics customers
Develops and manages operating budget for assigned logistics projects
Extensive knowledge, experience and management of supply chain software and inventory systems
Performs other duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Seven (7) to ten (10) years' of experience in government/contractor logistics & supply chain field
Demonstrated understanding of supply chain and logistics management processes required to support contracts globally
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and oral) and highly effective interpersonal skills as well as an ability to inspire confidence and motivate the supply chain and logistics team
Know how to construct and understand complex spreadsheets and supply software systems
Demonstrated excellent leadership skills aligning with corporate culture
Minimum five years of management of medium to large inventory systems
Bachelors' Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field (specific experience may waive education requirement)
Desirable
Joint logistics experience preferred (USAF, Navy, Army, Marines, as well as foreign military exposure)
Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
10+ years of military/government experience with DLA/AFMC/Air Combat Command (ACC) or other assignments focused on logistics and supply chain management supporting aircraft, simulator, and/or other weapons systems.
Experience working with DLA Logistics Information Service (DLIS) Cataloging Directorate (DLIS-K), D043A / D143C system, Federal Cataloging Program (FCP), and Integrated Logistics Support and Services (ILS-S)
Experience submitting Provisioning Parts Data (PPD) via AFMC's Automated Provisioning System (D220)
Hosting/coordinating Provisioning Guidance Conferences and Spares Provisioning Conferences with a Government customer
Experience with Predictive Analysis and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) analysis and planning
Experience and/or interest in creating supply chain efficiencies utilizing innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
AUTHORITY
Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Maintain and adjust resources and budget of their assigned projects
