We are an established construction company in Homedale, Idaho seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our team.

This is an important position within our company. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day office responsibilities, keep accurate financial and administrative records, communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and employees, and help keep our operations organized and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working independently, and experienced with bookkeeping and general office administration. Previous experience in construction or a related industry is a plus but is not required.

[]{#primary-responsibilities}Primary Responsibilities

Accounts payable and accounts receivable

Entering bills, invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions

Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records

Assisting with payroll and employee records

Preparing and maintaining job and project documentation

Tracking vendor and subcontractor information

Communicating with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and employees

Answering phones, email, and general office correspondence

Maintaining organized electronic and paper files

Preparing reports and spreadsheets

Assisting management with administrative and accounting tasks

Ordering and maintaining office supplies

Helping coordinate the day-to-day activities of a busy construction office

Other administrative duties as needed

[]{#qualifications}Qualifications

Were looking for someone with:

Previous bookkeeping, accounting, office administration, or similar experience

Experience with QuickBooks accounting software

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and email

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion

Professional and friendly communication skills

Dependability and a strong work ethic

Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling company and employee information

Preferred but not required:

Experience working for a construction, contracting, manufacturing, agricultural, or similar small business

Experience with payroll

Accounts payable/accounts receivable experience

Experience working with vendors and subcontractors

Familiarity with job costing or construction accounting
