Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead operations at a high-visibility, 200,000-square-foot distribution center supporting one of the nation's most recognized brands. This role is responsible for overseeing facility operations, managing maintenance personnel, driving vendor performance, and ensuring a best-in-class experience for site stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities, engineering, or maintenance leader who enjoys balancing technical operations, financial management, and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day facility operations for a large industrial distribution center

Manage and develop a team of maintenance technicians

Oversee preventive maintenance programs and reactive maintenance activities

Manage third-party service providers, including janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility vendors

Build and manage annual operating budgets

Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and accruals

Monitor financial performance and explain budget variances

Prepare and present monthly operational and financial reports to leadership

Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all facility standards

Build strong relationships with site leadership and act as a trusted facilities partner

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of facilities, maintenance, engineering, or operations management experience

Experience leading maintenance teams in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and facility operations

Experience managing budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and financial reporting

Proven ability to manage vendors and service contracts

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can effectively lead a maintenance team while building trusted relationships with stakeholders. Success in this role requires a combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced operational environment.

Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Maintenance Supervisor

Experience working in client-facing environments
