Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician I (Mechanical Assembler) is responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies while following detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. This role requires the use of hand and power tools, measurement devices, scanners, and material handling equipment to support production goals and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Removing and mounting molds in injection molding machines including the making and hooking up of water-cooling lines as well as hydraulic and pneumatic core pull lines.
· Employees will read and comprehend specifications, blueprints, operating manuals, and follow all instructions and written procedures.
· Employees will, by working from verbal and/or process guidebooks, set up molds in various @types and sizes of molding machines to produce plastic components.
· Maintaining molding machine cleanliness, setting up auxiliary equipment, and adjustment and minor repair of injection molding machines as assigned under the supervision of Molding Technicians and maintenance personnel.
· Communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers and supervisors to ensure continuous production operation.
· Maintain a clean and orderly working environment including and not limited to the setup room as well as the production floor.
· Clean molds daily and perform automation validations including proper documentation associated with all mold cleanings and validations.
· Responsible for being available to work overtime when schedule requires.
· Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing, assembly, production, or related hands-on experience preferred.
· PRIOR MOLD SETTING EXPERIENCE RQUIRED .
· Use of computer, various precision measuring instruments, hand tools, movable stairs, overhead crane, and safety equipment.
· Employees may be called upon infrequently to exert pressure while using hand tools in an overhead situation.
· Employees must have their own tools and toolbox/cart.
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical aptitude.
Must successfully pass mechanical aptitude and mathematical aptitude assessments as part of the hiring process.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for 12-hour shifts.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to safely operate lifting devices and participate in team lifts when required.
Available Shifts
Hours: M-F 6:45am - 3:30pm for training 8/17 - 8/21, then a 2-2-3 Schedule 6:45am - 7:00pm 8/24 - 9/13

Ideal Candidates Will Have
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools.
Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, decimals, and conversions.
Manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
Ability to read measuring tools and interpret assembly instructions.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
