If you\'re seeking career growth and new experiences, we have an opening for a part time Host/Hostess at ARIA, an artisanal American cuisine restaurant on the hotel\'s second floor. As a Host/Hostess, you set the tone for our guests as you lead them to their table for a delectable meal. Recognized as one of Milwaukee\'s most esteemed hotels with an elite award repertoire, Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel offers a modern, luxury experience with artistic flair. With a prime location in Milwaukee\'s Theater District, Saint Kate serves as a creative hub for the city, where every aspect of the hotel is inspired by music, painting, sculpture, and design. As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers. What you will be doing: Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals. Answer phones and manage voicemail. Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server. Maintain cleanliness of the work area. Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions. Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed. Help with BEOs for private functions. Perform other duties as assigned. What we are looking for: No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Afternoon/Night Availability Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions. Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations. Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and multi-task. Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests. Ability to work POS system, Open Table computer and cash handling experience preferred. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure. What\'s in it for you?
