The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking a full time, on-campus, Administrative Specialist (CL2) for the Office of Student Records. This is a pivotal role in the Office of Student Records that reports directly to the Executive Director of Student Records/Registrar. This position is not just about handling clerical duties, but about ensuring the efficient functioning of the entire office.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30pm. Weekend hours will be required in May for Commencement.
The starting rate for this part-time position is $20.39 (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee within the ACSUM collective bargaining unit. In addition, the University will contribute up to a 4% matching contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Two years working in academic records, including some lead experience. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education required for the assigned position.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to function as a team member
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Google Drive and OneDrive
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Experience with an automated student information system
Experience with an automated degree auditing system
