THE POSITION
Do you want to help guide leasing, property management, and related operations that ensure Department of Labor & Industry teams have the space they need to deliver effective services statewide? Apply to be an Administrative Officer 3 with the Bureau of Administrative Services. This role provides an exciting opportunity to support important projects and contribute to decisions that help agencies have the leased office space and practical support they need to operate efficiently. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role guides key activities involving leasing, property management, and related responsibilities. It supports statewide operations by leading staff, coordinating processes, and ensuring that all activities follow legal requirements and meet agency needs. As an Administrative Officer 3, you will perform the following duties:
Program Management:Plan and organize activities supporting the Department's leased and state-owned facilities, parking, fleet vehicle management, and equipment control/surplus section
Staff Supervision:Assign, direct, and evaluate work for a small team of administrative and clerical staff; provide training and mentorship
Office Relocations:Coordinate office relocation team meetings; provide guidance to agencies on leasing, relocation, and related processes; ensure relocations are completed in a timely manner with minimal disruption
Lease Development:Negotiate agreements and review field office leases, floor plans, and layouts to ensure alignment with a standards for space, cost, and construction
Compliance Oversight:Ensure all leases comply with federal and state statutes, regulations, standards and policies; determine if facilities are completed according to lease specifications
Property Management:Coordinate actions involving repairs and complaints; work closely with legal and specialist teams to resolve legal and other issues

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
