Description We are looking for a Business Immigration Paralegal to support employment-based immigration matters in our Services practice in Connecticut. This opportunity is well suited for someone with entry-level experience who is organized, attentive to detail, and interested in building deeper knowledge in a collaborative legal environment. The role involves partnering with attorneys and clients to prepare case materials, track filings, and help move matters forward accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant filings, including visa petitions and permanent residence applications, with guidance from attorneys.

Draft immigration forms, client communications, and supporting case documents while helping ensure filings meet regulatory and procedural requirements.

Assist with legal research and contribute to case preparation for business immigration matters involving corporate clients.

Track deadlines, monitor active matters, and follow up with clients to collect required information and provide timely status updates.

Communicate with relevant government agencies to check case progress and help address routine filing or processing issues as assigned.

Maintain organized electronic and physical case records, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and handled with a high level of confidentiality. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience supporting business immigration matters in a law firm or services setting.

Working knowledge of employment-based immigration processes and related case documentation.

Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external agencies.

Proficiency in organizing case files and using case management or legal support software.

Strong judgment in handling sensitive information with discretion.
