Our Client is seeking an Accountant responsible for full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger management and financial reporting. This role maintains accrual-based financial records, supports month-end close activities, and contributes to forecasting and analysis. The Accountant will work with advanced Excel tools and accounting software to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information that supports business decision-making.
Responsibilities
Maintain full-cycle accrual-based accounting records, ensuring accurate tracking and posting of revenue and expenses.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries to support timely and accurate closing procedures.
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring account integrity and alignment with financial reporting requirements.
Generate, verify, and distribute weekly and monthly invoices, resolving client discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
Manage accounts payable processes, including auditing vendor invoices, processing weekly disbursements, and resolving discrepancies.
Perform credit card reconciliation processes, including coding corporate card expenses and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Complete monthly account reconciliations for bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances to ensure general ledger accuracy.
Manage cash posting activities to ensure all customer payments are accurately applied to accounts receivable.
Analyze financial data and operational metrics to identify performance trends and evaluate budget variances.
Deliver actionable insights and analysis to support the Accounting function and broader business objectives.
Provide audit support by maintaining organized financial records and documentation.
Communicate effectively by telephone, email, and website with internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve financial issues and clarify account information.
Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, both on-site and remotely, while multitasking and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Provide clear and accurate status updates and issue communication, both verbally and in writing.
Collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate a willingness to assist others in achieving team goals.
Perform any other related responsibilities as assigned to support the overall accounting and finance operations.
Essential Skills
Accounting degree and 4 years of accounting experience, or 8+ years of experience in the accounting field.
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and full-cycle accounting operations.
Advanced Excel skills, including multiple V-lookups, data downloads, analysis, reconciliation, and support for journal entries and general ledger activities.
Experience with general ledger management and month-end closing procedures.
Proficiency with accounting software and intermediate computer skills.
Ability to generate, verify, and distribute invoices while resolving client billing discrepancies.
Experience managing accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice auditing and disbursements.
Demonstrated ability to perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and operational metrics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment
Our Client offers a professional, fast-paced work environment that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role involves working extensively with Excel and accounting software to manage financial data and reporting. After an initial 6-month contract period, the Accountant will have the opportunity to transition into a hybrid work arrangement, typically spending two days on site and three days working remotely each week. Communication with colleagues, clients, and vendors occurs frequently via telephone, email, and online platforms, and the environment supports both independent work and team collaboration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $31.25/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
